Blissfully Ignorant

October 31, 2016

What you don’t know, can’t hurt you. Or can it? We used to believe that ignorance was bliss. Now we know better.

Why do we put our heads in the sand, pretending bad things won’t happen to us? Maybe that used to work, but for millions of people around the world, ignorance is NOT bliss. In fact, it’s killing us. Survival of the human race is shaky, if not downright unsettling.

Small town mentality, once viewed a harmless condition of the blissfully ignorant, has become commonplace in cities, large and small. Even the educated are blissfully ignorant; outsourcing their common sense, health, and souls.

Blissfully ignorant of their own survival mechanism; with head in the sand and arm, elbow deep in the potato chip bag, while washing it down with a toxic prescription drug ill-designed to mask the mental and physical effects resulting from blissful ignorance.

Ignorance is not bliss if it does not bring contentment. Okay, maybe you’re temporarily happy as you cheer on your team, get soused on alcohol or drugs, or play with your new gadget…

But will those things bring you the kind of bliss that is the effect of a happy and healthy lifestyle? I think not. A life with few sick days, no doctor/hospital bills, no unnecessary debt or emotional misery, that’s bliss.

Blissful ignorance only works for those like the Amish, or remote jungle tribes. As a matter of fact, the Amish do not “go postal,” commit serial murder, lose their homes due to hospital bills, or mindlessly buy and eat toxic garbage because devious corporations tell them to.

The Amish don’t watch television or listen to the radio. And they certainly don’t fill their minds with negative misinformation from newspapers or the internet. Sounds like a conspiracy, I know, because it is. The plan to hook you is working well and it’s been working successfully for decades.

It’s a big problem for the millions that are suffering and dying as a result of emotional and physical malnutrition; depression, suicide, metabolic syndrome (high cholesterol, high blood pressure and diabetes), and any other “dis-ease” that may be interfering with your chance for a healthy and happy lifestyle.

Killer cravings will wake you up to the life you could be enjoying or they’ll be your undoing. Lots of help out there if you’re ready to save yourself. Maybe you’re just curious about this craving stuff. Check it out. Here’s the how and why you crave. Here’s help for your cravings, and more.
