Real Food/Fake Food: How to Spot the Phony

Real food is easy to recognize, sometimes. Fake food or what I call “phony” is usually prefaced with words like imitation, natural, or it’s cousin, “all-natural.” Food fraud is so prevalent and common in grocery stores that you almost need a college degree or be a skilled private investigator to understand the labels and navigate the aisles.

 

We like to think the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) was watching out for us. Our government wouldn’t let the commercial food industry poison us intentionally, would they?

 

I hate to break it to you, but of the 600,000 products in grocery stores virtually every one of them is fake and causing malnutrition. Poisoning us while fueling the “sick care crisis.” It’s all about the money, folks. No one’s got your back. Even your doctor can’t help. Unless he/she is nutritionally informed, they are told to give you a pill for your ill. After all, there’s no money in healthy people. Just ask the pharmaceutical industry.

 

Just Because it Looks Pretty and Comes With a Catchy Ad Jingle…

 

Brightly colored boxes and extravagant promises of “low-fat,” and “healthy,” are cleverly designed to suck you in. Never mind you’ve seen the ad a million times and its subliminal message has seeped so far into your subconscious you have no idea why you’re buying it.

Commercial food advertising has only one goal: To get you to buy their product. They can lie, cheat and steal your money and your health. It’s legal. You support them and you also get to support the medical industry when you get sick from the fake food. It’s a no-win situation for you.

 

Are You Being Poisoned by Industrial Food?

 

How do you know if you’re getting sick from phony, artificial food? Chances are you’re overweight, have high blood pressure, diabetes, and high cholesterol. You may have other issues such as fatigue, pain, chronic headaches, depression, etc. Illness is rampant in America because most people can’t spot the phony and haven’t made the connection between junk food and illness.

 

Eat Real Food

 

Real food is most anything that needs to be refrigerated. It doesn’t have ingredients, it is ingredients. There’s generally no box, can or package and no label. It grew in the ground, on a tree, walked the earth or swam the ocean. Real food is what your body needs and it’s the only way you can be healthy.
