Sometimes life has a way of biting us in the ass so hard we’re jarred from our “comfort zone.” A rut born of deeply entrenched beliefs that are most often lies. Like a sleepwalker, abruptly awakened, reality forces us to look at the life we have created from believing other's lies.
Our long-held beliefs are what we have been taught to believe. When something is repeated long enough, people eventually believe it. Over time it becomes true… Print the legend, it becomes fact. Just ask the media, they’ve been doing it for over a hundred years.
How do you know the beliefs you hold dear are lies or are actually truths that are serving you? The proof is in the pudding…
Are you healthy in mind and body or do you suffer with poor health and mental problems (depression, etc.)? Are you taking prescription medications for one or more of the common “dis-eases?” If so, it’s time to look at your thoughts. Your mind is the orchestrator of your food and other consumer choices.
Are you making food decisions based on the commercials you’re watching? Commercial food companies will tell you anything to get you to believe that their products are nutritious, low-fat, delicious, and convenient.
Long Held Beliefs/Lies:
Milk does your body good (especially children).
Fat is harmful and causes high cholesterol.
Low-fat food is healthy.
Prescription drugs are necessary.
Have you had enough of the stuff that’s distracting you from the important things in life? Stuff like your family, your health, enjoying your present moments and preparing for the future… Life is short, and you’re here to enjoy it. In the end we all want just WON thing, to be happy.
