It’s Only Natural…

It's Only 100 percent Natural barn and logo

Natural, All-natural, 100% natural. You’ve seen the word a thousand times. If you watch television you’re probably hooked on natural stuff, after all, it sounds good.

If it’s natural, it’s good for you, right? You can feel good knowing it’s okay because the package has happy (thin, not obese) people, happy animals, or a smiling sunny face… We’re human beings and we’re natural, so we should eat natural stuff, right? That’s the idea. Real food for real people.

What if your natural food was toxic garbage hidden behind a fancy label? Have you looked to see what’s in your favorite snack? Real food doesn’t have a lot of ingredients you can’t pronounce. And it will never have artificial flavors or preservatives.

Here’s a humorous, albeit somber look at your “natural label”.

All Natural Effect

What makes your “natural” stuff so special? Why is it simply irresistible? Or moreish? as food scientists like to call it. They know what will make you say, “That tastes like more!” There’s a science behind processed food. Science that keeps you hooked, fat, toxic, and coming back for more.

And if you haven’t made the connection between your “natural” food and the state of your health, maybe this is the message you needed to hear.

After all, as a “real person,” how long will you be able to eat fake food (there are over 10,000 chemicals used in processed foods!) before your body starts to revolt? I always say, “Proof is in the pudding.” Next time you hear someone say organic food is expensive, do a little homework. Illness always costs more than wellness.

Natural, such a lovely word. It sounds as pure and giving as nature. Processed foods are anything but “natural,” and they certainly don’t come from nature.

Don’t be fooled by the word “Natural” …
